About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to join our team at TGI Friday's Midway. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dishroom areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dishroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure all china, glass, and silverware are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized.
  • Store clean dishes, glassware, and silverware in designated areas, taking care to minimize breakage.
  • Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to proper procedures, storing them in designated areas.
  • Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and restaurant areas.
  • Empty garbage from food and beverage areas into the hotel dumpster.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the back dock and dumpster area.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
