Position Details:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Accounting Supervisor to become a vital member of our expanding team. This role entails managing the daily functions of our accounting division, ensuring adherence to internal policies, external regulations, and accepted accounting standards. You will play a key role in managing and interpreting financial data, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with our global team on IFRS compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a robust accounting background in the manufacturing sector, with a comprehensive understanding of cost of goods sold, and experience with financial systems such as NetSuite and JD Edwards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
2. Ensure adherence to the company's financial policies and regulatory standards.
3. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
4. Analyze accounting data and produce financial statements.
5. Lead, mentor, and assess the performance of the accounting team.
6. Enhance systems and procedures while initiating corrective measures.
7. Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
8. Oversee cost accounting, particularly cost of goods sold.
9. Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
10. Utilize financial software systems effectively, particularly NetSuite and JD Edwards.
11. Collaborate with internal and external auditors for routine assessments.
12. Engage in budgeting activities.
13. Assist with tax preparation and filing tasks.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory accounting role, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of corporate accounting and financial management.
4. Strong understanding of cost accounting and cost of goods sold.
5. Familiarity with financial reporting and general ledger operations.
6. Solid grasp of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
7. Proficient in financial software, specifically NetSuite and JD Edwards.
8. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
9. Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on achieving results.
10. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
