Phlebotomist Float Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist Float to join our team at Labcorp. As a Phlebotomist Float, you will be responsible for performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and other medical tests, and providing superior customer service to all patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques
  • Process and prepare specimens for testing and analysis
  • Enter patient information and specimen data into our system accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Valid Washington state Phlebotomy License or application filed with the Washington Department of Health
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist or in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed and travel to additional sites
