Under the supervision of the Deputy District Director of Maintenance, the incumbent is tasked with the execution, assessment, and ongoing support of significant programs and maintenance policies within the District 10 Valley Region. This region encompasses various counties and requires a strategic approach to maintenance management. The role involves providing guidance and consultation to high-level district and statewide leadership, as well as proposing innovative programs and legislative directions as necessary. A valid driver's license is mandatory.Eligibility and Application Process
Eligibility for employment may be determined by performance on the Caltrans Maintenance Manager II examination. Candidates without current eligibility or those new to state civil service must be on the state examination list to qualify for these roles. Compensation and Benefits
New candidates will be appointed at the minimum salary for the classification or the minimum of an alternate range when applicable.

- A valid and unrestricted Class C driver's license is essential.
- A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required.
The SOQ should not exceed two pages, formatted in 10 pt. Arial font, detailing how the applicant's professional experience and educational background make them a suitable candidate for the role. Failure to include an SOQ will result in disqualification from consideration.
