Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care
- Assist physicians with procedures, maintaining a sterile technique and adhering to facility policies and procedures
- Monitor patient condition, identifying and communicating any issues to facility management
- Administer medications and IV moderate sedation as directed by physicians
- Perform point-of-care laboratory testing and IV insertion as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to FVC/FMCNA policies and procedures
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including monthly reports and meetings
- Current RN licensure in the state of California
- ACLS certification
- 6 years of related experience, preferably in Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience
- Proficient in the use of computers and related software, including Microsoft Office
- Proficient in IV insertion and cardiac rhythm recognition

Day to day work includes desk and personal computer work and interaction with patients, facility staff and physicians. The position provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting and moving of patients, and assisting with ambulation. Equipment aids and/or coworkers may provide assistance.
The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious, contagious diseases/materials and radiation. May be required to wear protective gear in procedure rooms for extended periods of time.
