Job Summary:

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Surgical Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of surgery scheduling, ensuring seamless communication with physicians, staff, and patients. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff, and equipment.
• Communicate with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
• Perform insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
