Job Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-respected school district in the Statesville, NC area to hire a highly motivated and passionate School Speech Therapist for a contract position.

The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students' academic and social development. This includes conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field
  • A State License to practice as an SLP

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
  • Strong knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
