Job Description

In the Iredell-Statesville School District, we are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with special communicative needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting students to maximize their communicative potential based on age and cognition. This involves working under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Exceptional Children to identify areas of speech-language involvement, including articulation, language, voice, and fluency. The Speech Language Pathologist will coordinate services with the student's educational staff and family, ensuring seamless support and progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for each speech-language eligible child in collaboration with classroom teachers, parents, LEA representatives, and other professionals.
  • Conduct screenings and testing to obtain diagnostic information, analyze results, and make recommendations for programs and services.
  • Maintain accurate records and Medicaid billing profiles using designated software for the district.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan therapy sessions, utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques to support curriculum objectives.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • A G License from the NC Department of Public Instruction.
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Prior experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in the relevant grade level.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

The estimated salary for this role is $78,500 annually, based on national averages for Speech Language Pathologists in North Carolina.
