Position Overview
The Underwriter will be an essential member of our team, working in a hybrid model that combines remote and in-office collaboration. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in legal and accounting principles related to tax credit insurance. The successful candidate will work closely with our Managing Director of Program Development and play a vital role in enhancing our market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic plan for developing and distributing innovative insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with carrier and reinsurance partners to underwrite energy transition tax credit insurance products.
- Manage relationships with brokers, project developers, and investors to drive business growth.
- Evaluate financing structures and assess risks associated with energy transition investments.
- Contribute to product development and pricing strategies.
- Support policy drafting and loss control initiatives.
- Assist in claim assessment and management processes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5-7 years of experience in tax credit insurance underwriting, particularly within the energy sector.
- Strong relationship management skills with brokers and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in evaluating financing options and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience in product development and pricing modeling.
