Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Specialist III to join our team at Ervin Cable. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing standards for data input and maintenance, map production, field data collection, and metadata creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement GIS standards for data input and maintenance, map production, field data collection, and metadata creation.
  • Provide technical and analytical information using software and databases for telecom projects.
  • Develop and execute GIS-related project tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with the development of GIS applications and models that enable spatial data analysis and queries.
  • Input and update GIS data, ensuring accuracy, precision, and organization.
  • Interpret complex design drawings, property plats, maps, and other related information.
  • Communicate with Company personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Experience working with GIS APIs and SDKs provided by various GIS software vendors.
Requirements
  • Preferred 3+ years' experience in GIS or GIS-related industry.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Arcade, SQL, JavaScript, R, C++, C#.
  • Proficient in workflow automation/scripting, designing ETL processes, and web application development.
  • Proficient in the use of hardware and software such as PCs, Tablets, IKE, Ocalc Pro, CAD, Google, ESRI Suite (ArcPRO, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in assigned function (Drafting, Designing, Make Ready, Geographic Information Systems, etc.).
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
