Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Center Discipline Manager at Adams and Associates, Inc. This position is responsible for overseeing the Center's behavior management system, ensuring student compliance with Center rules and regulations, and providing orientation to new students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Oversee the Center's behavior management system, ensuring that all students are held accountable for their actions and behavior.
  • Provide orientation to new students, explaining Center rules, regulations, incentive/disciplinary system, and legal services available.
  • Provide in-service training to all staff on the Center behavior management system.
  • Ensure the Center's compliance with Job Corps Zero Tolerance policies.
  • Administer penalties for disciplinary infractions in accordance with PRH requirements, approved sanction guide, and the Student Handbook.
  • Appoint and train staff to serve on the Center's Fact Finding Board and Behavior Review Panels.
  • Investigate student incidents involving student misconduct, reporting significant concerns to the Center Director.
  • Maintain a complete file of student disciplinary records and ensure student behavioral infractions are appropriately entered into CIS.
  • Analyze and prepare data related to behavioral trends and prepare required reports as directed.
  • Act as liaison with local law enforcement authorities regarding students charged with criminal activities off-Center, coordinating these activities with the Center Safety/Security department.
  • In cooperation with the Career Development Manager, ensure the effective administration of the Career Success Standards Rating system as directed by company guidelines.
  • Develop Center-beneficial linkages within the community for education, employment, Career Technical Training, and WBL, promoting a positive image of the Center and Job Corps.
  • Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
  • Provide high-quality supervision and management for the student population, taking swift and appropriate action when necessary and positively influencing student behavior.
  • Provide quality programs and services for students, ensuring that quality is maintained and student needs are met, pursuing improvement and enhancement of programs and services.
  • Exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner, contributing meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge, providing quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
  • Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas, identifying problems, analyzing causes, and evaluating appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions, following up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.
  • Work in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.
  • Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree from an accredited school preferred.
  • A minimum of one-year experience in Job Corps or related residential youth program required.
  • Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
