Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and prepare essential anesthesia equipment, including IV lines, pouches, gloves, sterile masks, X-ray, RAD, and other necessary anesthetics.
  • Operate as an aide to the anesthesia care team, particularly to the anesthesiologist, and monitor anesthesia equipment throughout the operation.
  • Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment, requiring a thorough knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and other lab equipment.
  • Record anesthesia supplies used during operations and prepare in advance for emergency operations by maintaining operating room schedules.
  • Stay aware of safety policies and procedures, ensuring a smooth operation.
Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some positions may require a two-year degree in healthcare or successful completion of a two-year approved American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) program.
  • Current state certification, licensure, or license eligibility in states where applicable.
  • One year of current experience within the last three years.
  • Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) successful certification may be preferred or required.
  • Maintenance of current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for HealthCare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
  • Some positions may require maintenance of current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
