Job Title: Heat Treatment Finish Operator I

Job Summary:

The Heat Treatment Finish Operator I performs advanced level finishing operations and intense monitoring processes. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate high voltage machinery, including OSI Furnace, Pickle Line, Solo Furnaces, Vacuum Furnace, and Temper Furnace.
  • Process firearm parts according to established policies and procedures to meet Beretta U.S.A. standards and military specifications.
  • Load firearm parts onto racks for processing.
  • Monitor dials and gauges to ensure that tanks and lines contain proper levels of methanol, nitrogen, acids, and salt.
  • Perform heat treatment process according to recipe book specifications as set forth by Beretta U.S.A. Corp.
  • Perform hardness inspection to ensure that products meet quality standards and temper non-conforming parts to bring them up to standard.
  • Monitor voltage, temperature, and amperes to ensure proper electrical conductivity in the heat-treating process.
  • Assist in managing hazardous waste at the facility as needed.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

This role requires standing, walking, stooping, and bending. Physical exertion may be required in lifting and transporting up to 50 pounds. Performance of tasks requires exposure to chemicals, chemical fumes, and extremes in temperature.

Qualifications/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of chemical hazards and safety precautions.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures for the operation of machines/lines and use of chemicals.
  • Ability to maintain written records.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and move back and forth between machines.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds.
  • Monitor dials and gauges and make machine adjustments to ensure proper voltage, amperes, time settings, and chemical levels.
  • Monitor machines, both auditorily and visually.
  • Identify occupational hazards and use safety precautions.

Experience/Education:

On-the-job training provided.
