Position Overview

Timmons Group is in search of a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Traffic Analysis and Planning to enhance our Traffic Group.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing relevant software, modeling, and CAD technology to design project components.
  • Employing engineering principles and computational tools to perform calculations and resolve technical challenges.
  • Finalizing design specifications and developing comprehensive plan sets.
  • Conducting research and drafting objective summary reports to support project execution.
  • Assisting in the formulation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Carrying out field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed by senior engineering personnel.
  • Engaging with client representatives and collaborating with the internal design team under the guidance of senior staff.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Between one and eight years of experience in Transportation / Traffic Engineering and site plan development.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation is essential.
  • Familiarity with Traffic Analyses, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, Signing Design, Traffic Management Plan Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing is advantageous.
  • Experience with DOT processes is preferred.
  • EIT certification is preferred.
