RK&K is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our bridge design team, you will be responsible for the design of bridge projects and preparation of contract documents.
Key Responsibilities:- Design bridge projects and prepare contract documents
- Apply various AASHTO codes and NCDOT manuals
- Perform calculation and drawing QC review
- Interact with CADD operators and condition inspection of structures
- Participate in project research, drawing development, data entry, engineering computations, analysis, quantity take-offs, inspection, and submittals to agencies
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- P.E. (Professional Engineer) License
- At least 20 years of bridge design experience
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Leap Bridge Concrete, AASHTOWare BrR, Microstation, and various other structural programs
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards related to bridge design and construction (e.g. AASHTO, ACI, ASCE)
- Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- NCDOT structures/bridge experience
- NCDOT Seismic Design
