Licensed Clinical Psychologist

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing psychological testing, counseling, and evaluations to defined populations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our members.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, score, and interpret psychometric and projective tests, as well as other psychodiagnostic techniques and behavior observations.
- Conduct initial interviews with members, gather and review relevant information, and determine the urgency of their needs.
- Provide professional interpretations of members' presentations and recommend courses of therapeutic action, selecting appropriate treatment modalities.
- Rend immediate guidance and therapy for members in crisis or in need of clinical services.
- Maintain written records of therapy, prepare reports and letters, and communicate with social agencies, schools, relatives, and friends to obtain pertinent information.
- Provide telephone assessments, counseling, resource information, and referrals, transmitting diagnostic and assessment information to referring professionals through verbal and written reports.
- Conduct program evaluations to assess quality of care and cost-effectiveness of clinical procedures.
- Offer consultation and inservice training to other mental health professionals on clinical issues relevant to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders.
- May conduct research on human behavior and possible methods for eliminating psychological disorders.
- Two or more years of post-graduate experience in a behavioral health setting, or a pre-doctoral internship, post-doctoral internship, or fellowship at Kaiser Permanente.
- Doctorate degree from an APA-accredited doctorate program with specialization in a field of clinical or counseling psychology.
- Psiychologist License (California).
- Internship in an APA-approved program.
Must be comfortable completing Pediatric and Adult ADHD and Autism evaluations.
