Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within his/her scope of practice within the Subacute setting. This role is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Delivers safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in the Subacute Unit.
  • Communicates with physicians, the Subacute Unit Director, Charge RN, and/or co-workers about changes in the patient?s clinical condition including cardiac and respiratory monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow, unit maintenance and organization.
  • Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
  • Participates actively in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
  • Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum six (6) months experience in Acute or Subacute care setting.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire preferred.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

The current compensation range for this role is $39.24 to $67.30. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
