Lifespan, a leading health system in Rhode Island, is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our medical imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of technical radiographic procedures, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
- Meet, greet, and provide clear explanations of radiologic examinations to patients, reducing apprehension and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Schedule patients for radiologic examinations efficiently, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
- Process radiographic images using CR Readers and scan images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for physician review.
- Operate fixed radiographic equipment in the Radiology Department and/or transport and operate portable radiographic equipment on nursing units.
- Assist physicians and physician assistants in the administration of opaque contrast media and process exposed radiographic images as required.
- Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and adequate supplies for assigned areas, rotating within the department and by shift as needed.
- Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
- Current license to work in the State of Rhode Island.
- Current ARRT certification and AHA BLS certification.
