Job Summary:

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team in Sturgeon Bay, WI. As a Structural Welder, you will work on some of the world's largest commercial, Coast Guard, and Army Corp of Engineer vessels, helping these great ships head back out to sea.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural welding tasks on commercial vessels, including horizontal and vertical groover welds
  • Work in small spaces throughout the ship, kneeling, laying on back, and using grinders and torches
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Lift, pull, and carry 50 lbs through shift, including climbing ladders and stairs

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience welding in an industrial environment
  • Basic blueprint reading skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Pass a basic horizontal and vertical groover weld test, inclusive of wire changes (ABS 2G and 3G FCAW)
