Job Title: Electrical Controls Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team at Corning Incorporated. As an Electrical Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for providing electrical and controls support for our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical and controls support for BOD and Mixing production processes
- Work with Process and Controls Engineering to apply electrical and controls concepts to identify, design, and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction projects
- Participate in all phases of projects, including design, fabrication, off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel, and technology transfer
- Independently support daily manufacturing operations and attend to minor projects on equipment
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Technology (AAS) degree
- 3+ years of experience in electrical controls
- Methodical troubleshooting skills on dynamic automation and motion control equipment
- Knowledge of PLC, HMI, motion, and industrial robot programming and configuration
Preferred Skills:
- Programming and configuration knowledge of Rockwell, Mitsubishi, FANUC Robots, OSI Pi, iFIX, Proface, and PILZ
- Experience with controls and electrical design in manufacturing
- Broad skill set, including first principal design to implementation and installation
- Working knowledge of 480V and below 3-phase power systems
- Knowledge of electrical design and machine standards
