**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician I

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at TSG - The Sheridan Group. As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and machinery, working closely with electrical staff to ensure smooth operation of our printing and book binding facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machine tools to manufacture replacement parts for mechanical press and bindery equipment.
  • Assist in the repairs and maintenance of mechanical press and bindery equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using relay logic, control circuits, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to understand equipment functionality.
  • Use testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies, monitoring for safety hazards and reporting any concerns.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of field experience preferred.
  • Intermediate math and computer skills.
  • Associates degree in Industrial Electronics preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods, sometimes on concrete floors.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to push and pull skids of paper weighing over 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, and climb to perform tasks.
  • Must be able to kneel and grasp items with fingers and hands.
