The Charge Nurse, RN - Physical Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Medical Surgical Unit at Centinela Hospital Medical Center. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team of nurses and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Department Director in the daily operations of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel.
- Ensure the proper use of time, equipment, and resources.
- Perform direct patient care, as needed, within the scope of practice.
- Continually assess patient care and direct staff to make necessary changes in the plan of care.
- Effectively communicate with physicians and staff to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
- PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.
