Key Responsibilities- Conduct well-child visits, screen for disease symptoms, and administer treatments to enhance patients' overall well-being.
- Provide counseling and education on family planning, contraception, pregnancy, STDs, and childbirth.
- Advise patients on the aging process and promote well-being in advanced age.
- Perform examinations, take comprehensive health histories, and provide physical exams to evaluate health status.
- Diagnose and manage acute episodic and chronic medical illnesses, as well as stable behavioral/psychological problems.
- Initiate consultation requests with specialists and other health professionals for appropriate medical conditions.
- Order diagnostic tests, interpret lab results, and guide management of illness.
- Treat medical and behavioral conditions, establish management treatments, and prescribe non-pharmacological therapies and pharmacological agents.
- A current, unrestricted NYS Nurse Practitioner License.
- National board certification in Family Medicine or Med-Peds.
- CPR certification.
- Prior experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings.
- The ability to communicate fluently in both Spanish and English.
