Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY
The Compensation Specialist employs analytical techniques and tools to guarantee that organizational compensation and benefits are administered uniformly. This role utilizes analytics and forecasts to improve accuracy in forecasting and guide decision-making related to compensation and benefits programs.

The Compensation Specialist offers analytical and operational assistance to Shurtape Technologies' Total Rewards initiatives, encompassing compensation, incentives, benefits, wellness, and rewards & recognition, along with the ongoing management and reporting functionalities of the HRIS system.


The Compensation Specialist will work in conjunction with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners to perform job evaluations and establish competitive compensation aligned with market trends.

Additionally, the Compensation Specialist will ensure internal pay equity through the creation and upkeep of consistent pay structures.

This position is both highly analytical and collaborative.

Key Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain regional salary ranges and classifications, job descriptions, and job classification repository.

Evaluate positions to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity; collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to recommend compensation for new hires and internal promotions/transfers.

Oversee recurring compensation initiatives, including but not limited to, annual incentive pay, annual merit increases, and biennial market studies.

Manage the Compensation Management HRIS module in UltiPro.

Establish guidelines for incentive pay, including project incentives, sign-on bonuses, and retention bonuses.

Conduct cost projections, forecast trends, and partner with payroll, recruiting, and budget forecasting.

Analyze and present compensation metrics through BI reporting and dashboards to provide insights for enhanced decision-making.

Monitor and assess pay disparities related to gender, race, ethnicity, age, and other protected classes.

Identify opportunities for improvement. Influence across various levels and business units to enhance operational efficiency.

Research and assist in resolving payroll and/or compensation issues.

Act as a backup to the Payroll Administrator, including audit preparation and reporting, as well as HRIS loads as required.

Systems Knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) is required. Intermediate-to-Advanced Excel skills are a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or related work experience.

3 – 5 years in compensation.

HRIS experience required. UltiPro experience preferred.

Hybrid work schedule, with mandatory in-office days as needed based on business requirements.
