Operations Supervisor - Night Shift

As an Operations Supervisor on our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include planning and directing operations, maintaining high morale and work standards, training and managing your team, controlling expenses, and ensuring equipment and housekeeping meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Operations Manager with planning, organizing, and directing warehouse activities to ensure successful night shift operations.
  • Lead workers and Lead persons in achieving operational excellence.
  • Maintain a positive morale, work standards, and develop teams to achieve company goals.
  • Train and manage employee performance to ensure high-quality results.
  • Assertively seek solutions to problems at the root level.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with federal, state, and local company policies.
  • Control expenses and reduce employee turnover.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment and vehicles are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company standards.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience, including exhibiting leadership capabilities.
  • 4-year degree preferred.
  • 3+ years Distribution Center experience (large size).
  • Experience managing, leading, and developing staff.
  • Technical ability: Excel, MS Office products.
  • Excellent and effective business communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisions.
  • Demonstrated employee engagement skills.
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
  • Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.
  • Skilled in interviewing, coaching, evaluation, discipline, and record keeping.
  • Experience with DEA regulations a plus.
  • WMS experience preferred.
  • MS Access proficiency and ability to interpret and analyze data.
