Job Title: Host

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Host to join our team at Conrad's Crabs. As a Host, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience from the moment they arrive.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* **Guest Reception:**

* Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
* Manage the waiting list and notify guests when their table is ready
* Provide menus and ensure guests have everything they need

* **Reservation Management:**

* Take and manage reservations via phone, online platforms, or in-person
* Coordinate with the kitchen and servers to ensure timely seating for reserved tables

* **Table Management:**

* Maintain an organized seating chart and update it as needed
* Monitor the dining area to ensure tables are cleaned and reset quickly

* **Customer Service:**

* Address guest inquiries and concerns in a polite and professional manner
* Provide information about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies

* **Communication:**

* Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations
* Relay special requests or concerns from guests to appropriate staff members

* **Administrative Duties:**

* Answer phone calls and handle basic inquiries
* Keep track of guest preferences and feedback

* **Health and Safety Compliance:**

* Ensure that the dining area is clean and compliant with health and safety regulations
* Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures

**Qualifications:**

* Previous experience as a hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a calm demeanor
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Professional appearance with a neat and clean uniform
* Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

**Physical Requirements:**

* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
* Ability to lift and carry light objects
