Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Deliver safe and effective care to assigned patients, performing direct care in accordance with established plans of care.
  • Maintain open communication with physicians, supervisors, staff, and family members regarding patient progress and observations.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent educational experience.
  • One year of experience as a licensed practical nurse.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant use of speech and vision for distances near and far.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of patients and occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Professional Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
