About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Enlivant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality meals are prepared and presented to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the kitchen staff and ensure that all food preparation and presentation meet the highest standards.
  • Manage food ordering, receiving, and inventory to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with our dietary team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure resident satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of culinary experience in a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and perform occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to stand for at least 80% of the scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a senior living or skilled nursing culinary environment.
  • Restaurant, food service, or banquet experience.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • ServSafe Managers Certificate (obtain within 90 days of employment).
