About the Position

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities related to preparing, classifying, and abstracting medical reports in the medical records unit.

Job Type/Salary

  • Primary Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of registration as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with the American Health Information Management Association and one year of experience in the Medical Records field or as a Medical Records Consultant; or accreditation as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) with the American Health Information Management Association and three years of experience in the Medical Records field or as a Medical Records Consultant.

Special Requirements

Based upon the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position being filled, a user agency may require accreditation with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Technician (RHIT); or eligibility for registration as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). Some agencies may have determined positions in this job family to be safety sensitive as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8.

Operated by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Carl Albert Community Mental Health Center (CACMHC) is a fully accredited 15-bed psychiatric hospital and outpatient clinic. Other CACMHC offices located in Southeastern Oklahoma are-Holdenville Satellite, Heavener Satellite, Hugo Satellite, Idabel Satellite, Stigler Satellite, Atoka Satellite and Ada PACT.
