Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at the McAlester Health Clinic's Laboratory. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform laboratory tests including microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, and bacteriologic according to established standards.
  2. Maintain detailed records of tests performed and report results to appropriate personnel.
  3. Understand and comply with laboratory Quality Control and Quality Assurance policies.
  4. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and sterilize laboratory equipment.
  5. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
  6. Use hospital and laboratory information systems and software.
  7. Work with doctors, nurses, and other personnel to provide technical guidance and address concerns.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in science or equivalent experience.
  • Medical Laboratory Technician certification.
  • Knowledge and capability to perform daily maintenance on instruments.
