Psychiatry Director

Community Health & Wellness Center is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric services to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct routine and crisis care as assigned, utilizing a thorough clinical assessment and ordering/performing and interpreting screening and diagnostic procedures and tests.
- Screen and diagnose psychiatric symptoms and illnesses, monitoring medication and dosages and adjusting as necessary.
- Provide treatment according to APA Practice Guidelines and accepted agency standards and protocols.
- Assist in the management of referred and/or complex problems with other members of the agency and community health nurses, mental health workers, and other community resources.
- Work collaboratively with other agency providers, clinical support staff, and administrative personnel.
- Maintain accurate, complete, comprehensive, legible medical records, and return all assigned charts or patient information in a timely fashion.
- M.D. or PhD degree and 3 years of job-related experience.
- Clinical experience in Behavioral Health.
- State of CT license, DEA, and Controlled Substance certificate.
