The Community Health and Wellness Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services department, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Coordinated Psychiatric Services: The Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing routine and crisis care to patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, medication assessments, and treatment planning.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: The Psychiatrist will work with patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Collaborate with Other Healthcare Professionals: The Psychiatrist will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, mental health workers, and administrative personnel, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for patients.
- Provide Education and Support: The Psychiatrist will provide education and support to patients and their families, helping them to understand their treatment options and make informed decisions about their care.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Best Practices: The Psychiatrist will stay current with the latest research and best practices in psychiatric care, incorporating new knowledge and skills into their practice.
- MD or PhD: The successful candidate must hold a medical degree (MD) or a doctoral degree in a related field (PhD).
- 3 Years of Experience: The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in behavioral health.
- State of CT License, DEA, and Controlled Substance Certificate: The candidate must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Connecticut, hold a DEA license, and have a Controlled Substance certificate.
