Digital Asset Portfolio Manager

Grayscale Investments, the world's largest digital currency asset manager, is expanding its investment team with a Digital Asset Portfolio Manager position. This role will oversee the trading and management of a diverse range of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, ETFs, and derivatives. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in derivatives trading and risk management, with a proven track record of success in a corporate front-office or middle-office environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement trading strategies to manage grayscale's digital asset exposure and monetize management fees.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to track and post collateral/margin as needed.
  • Operate trading systems, monitoring execution, and interacting with trading partners/counterparties.
  • Communicate with other team members to inform risk and treasury management decisions.
  • Work with colleagues in portfolio management, trading, operations, and engineering to improve trading operations and systems.

**Requirements:**

  • 4-8 years of experience trading and/or settling derivatives through exchanges, order-routing systems, and OTC desks.
  • Experience trading cryptocurrency and/or corporate/treasury risk exposure is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier university.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Bloomberg, and investment analytical tools; working knowledge or familiarity with programming languages such as Python/SQL is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ISDA agreements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to describe sophisticated problems and solutions in simple terms.
  • Exceptional conceptual, quantitative, and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage trading strategy, risk, and trading relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professional discretion, integrity, and judgement.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and a team player.
  • FINRA Series 7.

**Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year**, depending on experience and qualifications.
