Role Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), in partnership with the Registered Nurse, is tasked with delivering and overseeing comprehensive nursing care to designated age-specific populations.
As part of a dual-phase training initiative, LPNs will undergo unit-based orientation and practice transition sessions under the guidance of a preceptor, utilizing the established state module for core responsibilities during the training period, ultimately progressing to independent practice within a collaborative care framework upon successful completion of the program.
Compliance with the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accrediting body standards, is essential.
Active participation in exemplary customer service is expected, along with a commitment to fostering respectful relationships with all individuals.
Value Proposition:
- Evaluates and executes the patient care plan on the assigned unit in collaboration with the RN, patient, family, and healthcare team.
Administers prescribed treatments and medications competently and safely within the defined scope of practice.
- Coordinates and implements patient care activities on the assigned unit to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Effectively communicates the care plan to other healthcare team members verbally throughout the shift and during handoff reports.
