About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Syracuse, NY. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary project team, you will be responsible for working on water, wastewater, utility, and infrastructure design projects throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of technical reports, design drawings, contract documents, cost estimates, and permits
  • Develop project delivery strategies and job management plans, work within QA plans, to help secure resources, monitoring work briefs and budgets
  • Support pricing estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for new clients and projects
  • Conduct field investigations and condition assessments to identify process needs and solutions
  • Coordinate communication pertaining to technical and contract project issues and coordinate client meetings
  • Review, build, and manage hydraulic models of complex water, sewer, and stormwater systems
  • Perform planning-level studies on infrastructure systems
  • Maintain open communication with project team members and project managers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • EIT certification
  • At least 3-5 years of municipal water experience, including experience in the state of New York; prior water and wastewater infrastructure design experience with local municipalities a plus
