Service Manager Opportunity

Talon Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join our client, a leading Heavy Equipment Dealership in Auburn, WA. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the service operations of the dealership, ensuring maximum return on investment through optimized processes, customer satisfaction, and profitable service labor sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Department Operations: Develop and implement strategies to optimize service department processes, ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Service Labor Sales: Grow profitable service labor sales by identifying opportunities and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Expense Control: Exercise disciplined expense control to ensure the service department operates within budget.
  • Talent Management: Recruit, hire, and retain top talent in the service department, developing individual development plans to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Scheduling and Prioritization: Develop and maintain a priority system for scheduling service work, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Warranty and Claims: Ensure timely completion and filing of manufacturer warranty and Product Improvement Program (PIP) claims.
  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee facility inspections, safety meetings, and annual safety inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Employee Development: Schedule and assign job and work areas to employees based on their skills and knowledge, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in management and service department operations or a related field.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Skills: Ability to use standard computer software applications, good human relations, and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of financial principles relative to service department operations.
