About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager to join our Digital team at 7-Eleven, Inc. As a key member of our R&D team, you will lead the development of new experiences that will transform our business and shape our digital future.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Planning (30%):
    • Develop a deep understanding of our end users and use that knowledge to determine the fastest path to deliver value.
    • Translate business goals and end user needs into product strategy, communicating direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners.
    • Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value, continually making recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings.
    • Manage and groom the product backlog, making future decisions based on the value that will be delivered.
    • Monitor research and the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best in class.
  • Delivery & Execution (50%):
    • Work with user research and testing teams to formulate, test, and refine assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing.
    • Create, prioritize, and accept user stories, incorporating them into release planning.
    • Make product decisions that drive value on a daily basis.
    • Identify and consider pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements.
    • Participate in and lead standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos, and retrospectives.
  • Team & Stakeholder (20%):
    • Foster collaboration with team members (Engineering, UX, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments.
    • Act as a proponent of modern agile development practices.
    • Advocate for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the product, empathizing with and understanding user needs.
    • Work with the product team to continuously assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and understand next steps.
    • Manage cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on product strategy and provide education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or user experience.
    • Guide more junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, and execution tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, Product Management certifications) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital product management, with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies. Proven track record of developing complex technical products.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, including machine learning algorithms, data processing, and model evaluation. Experience with AI/ML frameworks and cloud platforms is a plus.
