Electrophysiology Director Opportunity at Catholic Health

Catholic Health is seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to grow and expand the scope of clinical services at Mercy Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow and expand the electrophysiology network
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare system's insurance contracting department to identify opportunities for Center of Excellence recognition
  • Develop and implement initiatives in collaboration with healthcare systems, physician groups, and payers engaged by Catholic Health
  • Develop electrophysiology ambulatory outpatient programs in communities where Catholic Health operates or desires to operate
  • Expand the network by working with leadership to identify or develop outpatient facilities inside and outside the system's service area
  • Monitor and analyze clinical and research trends and identifying areas of opportunity for program development
  • Network with physician leadership in similar positions at other healthcare systems to acquire knowledge regarding potential opportunities to enhance the network
  • Oversee and ensure the highest quality of care and safety within the electrophysiology network that is compliant with all NYS DOH, CMS, and other regulatory agencies requirements

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting according to the program guidelines and requirements
  • Work collaboratively with cardiology physician colleagues, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physicians' assistants to promote a cohesive team environment
  • Maintain knowledge of current treatment modalities available to patients and work with administrative leadership to evaluate and/or implement new treatments as necessary
  • Participate in the development of and/or review treatment protocols for patients treated in the practice, ensure all staff are educated in the care of these patients by providing ongoing education
  • Participate in the development of integrated conferences and performance improvement and quality initiatives across the healthcare System

Requirements:

  • Board-Certified in Cardiology and Electrophysiology with training in complex procedures such as ablation
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical and administrative leadership experience in a healthcare organization or network
  • NYS Medical License and DEA
  • Advanced degree such as MHA, MBA, or Doctoral Degree desirable but not required

Salary Range: $580,000-900,000K

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's education, training, skills, licensure and certification, competencies and other relevant experience. The salary range listed does not include any bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
