Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Financial Business Analyst, you will deliver financial insights and control expertise to the Busway Selmer, ELDS (Electrification Distribution Solutions) in Selmer, Tennessee. Your responsibilities will include benchmarking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and collaborating with fellow finance professionals to analyze the factors influencing financial performance, while identifying relevant trends for the business. In this capacity, you will:

  • Conduct analyses of business performance against budget and forecasts, proposing actionable improvement strategies.
  • Benchmark key performance indicators against industry competitors and similar entities within ABB.
  • Develop financial models to assess various scenarios and their overall impact on the business unit.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the relevant organization.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial data and business information through reconciliations and review of discrepancies.
  • Provide management with insights by gathering and summarizing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Enhance productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating redundancies, and coordinating information requirements.
  • Ensure that processes and controls within your area of responsibility are designed and implemented in accordance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Maintain a proper audit trail and documentation for future tax, internal, and external audits and reviews.

Qualifications for the Role
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong skills in Financial Analysis.
  • Experience in Costing / Cost Accounting is highly desirable.
  • Background in Performance Management, Operational Excellence, Risk Management, Internal Controls, and Data Analytics is preferred.
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
