Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to become part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will assess and inspect existing structures, compiling detailed inspection reports. You will collaborate closely with the Territory Manager to communicate findings and develop follow-up strategies. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to project teams and support sales efforts to strengthen client relationships and attract new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough surveys and evaluations of existing structures to identify maintenance and repair requirements, generating comprehensive inspection reports for clients and management.
  • Effectively communicate assessment results and subsequent action plans with the Territory Manager.
  • Oversee all structural repair projects within your designated area.
  • Review engineering calculations, structural drawings, and construction documents, seeking advice from senior management when necessary.
  • Research relevant building codes and specifications as needed.
  • Provide technical sales assistance to support business development initiatives.
  • Offer expert advice and support to project teams and subcontractors.
  • Participate in ongoing training and technical seminars to maintain and enhance your expertise.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new Structural Engineers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in concrete construction, repair, restoration, or forensic investigation.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.

  • This position primarily serves the DC Metro area.
  • Reports directly to the Territory Manager.
  • Flexible scheduling with a mix of fieldwork and office time.
