Job Overview

Position Details

This co-op role requires on-site engagement in our Princeton, NJ office.



Key Responsibilities

The intern will:

  • Set up and operate laboratory instruments to precisely assess the Electro-Optic performance of cameras and sensors.
  • Document testing protocols and develop straightforward Labview control scripts.
  • Compile and analyze test data for evaluation.
  • Gain insights into CCD and CMOS imaging sensors as well as Electro-Optic testing equipment.


Qualifications

Applicants should be current students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Engineering, with coursework that includes:

  • Semiconductor Devices and Fabrication
  • Optics
  • Computer Programming

Additional requirements include:

  • U.S. Citizenship due to government regulations.
  • Familiarity with standard testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and function generators.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of imager characterization tests.
  • Knowledge of Electro-Optic principles and their application in camera testing.
  • Experience with Labview and Matlab.

Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $20 to $27, influenced by various factors including geographic location and market competitiveness. This position may also be eligible for SRI's performance-based compensation programs.
