About the Job: Our company, Ohio Gastroenterology Group, is seeking a Physician Support Specialist to join our team. As a Physician Support Specialist, you will provide administrative and clinical support to our physicians, ensuring the efficient operation of our office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments and manage physician schedules
  • Provide administrative support to physicians, including preparing reports and documents
  • Maintain accurate records and update patient charts
  • Communicate with patients, staff, and external providers regarding appointment schedules, test results, and other medical information
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in a medical environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information
