Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and exceptional engineer to join our Apple Thermal Team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical fundamentals and a desire to work in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thermal analyses and design of complex systems
  • Lead in the design and implementation of thermal solutions
  • Specify and optimize all aspects of thermal control parameters
  • Define and guide thermal experiments to characterize thermal materials, components, and systems
  • Communicate status and results to cross-functional teams and management
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of thermal design experience in consumer electronics, datacenters/servers, or similar
  • In-depth knowledge of heat sinks, fans, and blowers
  • Experience with manufacturing, thermal components supply chains, and cross communications between design, ODM, and third-party vendor teams
  • OEM and factory DOE experience highly desirable
  • Mastery of CFD simulation and comparable modeling approaches
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education & Experience

MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Thermal Design, Heat Transfer, or Fluid Dynamics

Compensation & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
