Overnight Financial Auditor

Position Overview

The Overnight Financial Auditor is responsible for conducting thorough audits, balancing financial records, and generating reports across various sectors of the hotel, including food and beverage services, guest accommodations, and retail operations. This role is designed for part-time engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and balance financial transactions for all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants and room service, ensuring accuracy in cash and credit operations.
• Review and reconcile front desk transactions, including room charges and adjustments, to uphold cash handling standards.
• Prepare and analyze room occupancy data to assist management in performance evaluation.
• Compile and enter statistical data for daily financial reporting.
• Ensure all bank ticket codes are balanced and closed on a daily basis.
• Execute the final night audit after confirming all revenue streams are accurately accounted for.
• Perform front desk duties, including express checkouts, as needed.
• Support the Night Manager and Night Audit Supervisor with various tasks.
• Assist with wake-up calls and other guest services as required.
• Fulfill bell person responsibilities when necessary.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in auditing, particularly within the hospitality industry, is preferred.

• Compensation will be based on experience.

• Close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis and extensive reading.
• Capability to bend and kneel while performing front desk duties.
