Position Overview

The Night Audit Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions during the overnight shift. This role involves auditing, balancing, and reporting on various hotel operations to uphold company standards and prevent discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants and room service, ensuring accurate cash and credit operations.
  • Balance and verify front desk transactions, including room charges and adjustments, to maintain proper cash handling protocols.
  • Prepare and report on room statistics to assist management in evaluating performance metrics.
  • Compile daily reports by inputting statistics and income journal sheets.
  • Ensure all bank ticket codes are balanced and closed on a daily basis.
  • Execute the final night audit after confirming all revenue streams are reconciled.
  • Perform front desk duties, including express checkouts, as needed.
  • Support the Night Manager and Night Audit Supervisor with various tasks.
  • Assist in managing wake-up calls through the PBX system.
  • Occasionally fulfill bell person duties as required.

  • Preferred experience in auditing within the hospitality sector.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and office equipment.
Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
  • Perform tasks requiring close visual acuity, such as data analysis and extensive reading.
  • Engage in repetitive movements, including typing and writing.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and staff.
