Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Pillar Clinical Research, LLC is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the implementation of clinical research studies. This role requires collaboration with the research team to ensure seamless patient care and study conduct.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and daily activity assistance.
  • Research Support: Assist with patient screening, enrollment, and follow-up, as well as collect and document study data.
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform routine clinical procedures such as blood draws, ECGs, and sample collections as required by the study protocol.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about study participation, procedures, and care plans, ensuring they understand and adhere to study requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including electronic medical records (EMR) and study-specific documentation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to regulatory and institutional guidelines, including GCP and HIPAA regulations, and assist with preparation for audits and inspections.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with the research team to ensure seamless patient care and study conduct.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing appropriate interventions and reporting as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited LVN program.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current and valid LVN license in Texas.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an inpatient or research setting.
  • Skills: Proficient in clinical procedures and patient care, with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to patient safety and care, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
