Boys Track Coach

Overview:

The West Virginia Department of Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Boys Track Coach to join our team. As a Boys Track Coach, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring student-athletes in the skills necessary for achievement in track and field.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and coach individual participants in the skills necessary for achievement in track and field events.
2. Plan and schedule regular practice sessions with the approval and direction of the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
3. Work closely with the head coach and athletic director in establishing a schedule for intramural and interscholastic track and field contests.
4. Recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms purchases in cooperation with the head coach and athletic director.
5. Maintain attendance records, insurance documents, and other assigned paperwork.
6. Ensure the safety conditions of the facility or area during practices and competitions.
7. Enforce disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior among students and establish penalties for breaches of such standards.

Principal/Athletic Director/Head Coach

Salary Range:

We estimate an annual salary of $45,000-$65,000 based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
