  • Process new prescriptions and refills, as well as complete pre-authorizations for medications and procedures.
  • Coordinate lab and radiology ordering, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Support our clinicians by completing necessary orders for referrals and chart checks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and patient advocacy, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans and feel empowered to manage their health.
  • Coordinate patient handoffs, ensuring accurate and timely communication between clinicians and patients.
  • Contribute to patient retention and practice financial success by scheduling follow-up appointments and annual physicals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Current MA/BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of one-year experience in a medical office setting as a medical assistant.
  • Phlebotomy experience required, with a minimum of one-year experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with considerable prior coursework or on-the-job training in medical assisting.
  • Proficiency in Epic EHR system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records and supply management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and patient advocacy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
