Job Summary

Casually employed Phlebotomy Tech I Hosp at Sonora Quest in Casper, WY, will be responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens, ensuring accurate patient and specimen identification, and maintaining specimen integrity. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a phlebotomy program, and basic knowledge of medical terminology. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and process biological specimens, ensuring accurate patient and specimen identification.
  • Maintain specimen integrity and follow established departmental procedures.
  • Enter and verify patient demographics, location, physician data, and test requests.
  • Aliquot and label specimens according to established procedures.
  • Deliver specimens to the technical area in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality and patient safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
