We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Methodist Family Health. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide ongoing care and observation of clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Document all data accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Administer medications and document according to Methodist Family Health Policy, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Assist physicians and registered nurses as needed, providing support and expertise in patient care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere for patients and staff.
- Provide health teaching to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve patient goals.
- Perform waived testing or phlebotomy as required, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development, staying up-to-date on the latest healthcare trends and best practices.
- Arkansas Licensed Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Arkansas Registered Nurse license.
- Meet requirements for privileging status as specified by Methodist Behavioral Hospital Standards.
- Experience with adolescents and children in a psychiatric setting preferred.
- Lift and hold at least 50 pounds for one minute.
- Requires the strength and stamina to perform clinical duties.
- Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions.
- Must be physically capable of sitting and standing for several hours at a time.
- Must have good auditory, visual, and olfactory ability.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination, and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.
- Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health.
- Flu shot is mandatory and required for all positions (subject only to qualified exemptions).
